Murder investigation launched after man assaulted in Hillingdon dies of his injuries
A murder investigation has been launched after a man died in hospital two days after he was found in Hillingdon with serious head injuries.
Officers were called by the London Ambulance Service shortly after 22:00hrs on Tuesday, 23 July, to an injured man on Gordon Road in Yiewsley.
Officers attended and found 41-year-old Robert Komuro, from Yiewsley, suffering from head injuries.
He was taken to a central London hospital in a critical condition. He was pronounced dead at 13:49hrs on Thursday, 25 July. His next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem will be carried out in due course.
A 44 year-old man [A] and a 42-year-old man [B] were arrested on Wednesday, 24 July on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They have been released on bail until mid-August.
Detective Chief Inspector Robert Pack, Specialist Crime said: “This was a tragic incident in which a man has suffered fatal head injuries after being assaulted.
“The circumstances of Robert Komuro’s death are complex but we believe he may have been involved in an altercation with two men prior to being injured.”
