New development in Fobbing now open to house-hunters

Bellway Thames Gateway has launched its new development at Fobbing and is now welcoming visitors onto the site.
The developer opened the doors to a sales cabin at Maple Creek off High Road earlier this month, and sales staff were kept busy all day.
The housebuilder is delivering 168 new properties at the new development on the 24-acre former site of Vange Water Works. There will be 109 properties for private sale and 59 affordable homes for local people through low-cost rent or shared ownership.
Maple Creek will feature a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses for private sale, with the first collection of new homes released for sale earlier this month.
Emma Hamlett, Sales Director for Bellway Thames Gateway, said: “This has been a very highly anticipated launch of a development that has generated an incredible amount of interest both locally and with potential purchasers from further afield.

“We have had more than 3,000 people register their interest in the new homes at Maple Creek and this level of demand was reflected by the number of visitors we welcomed onto the site after we opened the doors to a sales cabin. Over the course of the launch weekend, we saw 30 visitors come onto the site to see what all the excitement is about.

“The event was a great success and the sales team was kept very busy answering a host of queries about the collection of new homes being delivered at Maple Creek. Now that the site is open for business, house-hunters can make an appointment to have a chat with the sales advisors, check out the location and to find out exactly what is on offer.”
At Maple Creek, about half of the site will be developed into green open space, including a children’s play area, woodland and wildlife ponds.

Bellway plans to open a showhome at Maple Creek in April 2023 and the first residents are also expected to move into their completed homes in the spring.
Emma said: “Our exciting plans, which were approved by Thurrock Council last year, will see us regenerate a former derelict brownfield site and transform it into a vibrant new neighbourhood.

“House-hunters will be reassured to know that they will be buying a top-quality, high specification property from a national developer which has been awarded five-star builder status for the sixth year in row. Moreover, with the cost-of-living crisis continuing to eat into people’s domestic budgets, our customers are glad to hear that all the homes at Maple Creek are designed to be energy efficient.

“In fact, most of the homes, which will be A-rated by the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will benefit from solar PV panels on the roof. This green energy feature will help produce 20 per cent of the energy used by householders.

“Bellway is not only delivering much-needed new homes for the private market but is also building 59 affordable properties, which equates to more than a third of the homes on the development, to allow local people, who cannot afford to buy their own home, to secure a new place to live that keeps them close to their support network of family and friends.”
