New Malden optician awarded outstanding customer care medal by Specsavers founders

A NEW Malden optician has been honoured for going the extra mile for customers by the founders of Specsavers.

The Dame Mary Perkins Award for outstanding customer care has been awarded to Specsavers New Malden for going above and beyond. It is one of only seven Specsavers businesses in the UK, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to receive the award this year.

‘Caring for our customers is at the heart of what Specsavers is all about and the winners of this award are shining examples of how our colleagues do that every day. Congratulations to all of them,’ says Dame Mary Perkins.

Examples of where Specsavers New Malden has provided outstanding customer care includes undertaking an eye test for a 91-year-old with Alzheimer’s Disease. Her grandchild said the team were ‘lovely’ and made a difficult trip much easier for her as a carer and her grandmother.

Karina Peshawaria, retail director and Bhavisha Patel, optometrist director from New Malden Specsavers, say the team is honoured to receive the award. It is in recognition of achieving consistently high levels of customer service, satisfaction and positive feedback.

‘We take immense pride in their ability to make life-changing differences for our customers – and it is a testament to our team to receive this award,’ adds Karina. ‘By implementing and championing the family ethos in our store, we are able to provide all our customers with exemplary care and service.’
