Barnet-born rapper and producer Mike Skinner of genre-defining and multi-award-winning ‘The Streets’ has collaborated with 1800, the world’s most awarded tequila, to release an exclusive track that champions optimism and creativity.

‘Turn Your Face Into The Sun’, which launches today, was written and produced by Mike to celebrate independent thinkers like himself. The song speaks to the attitude behind every luminary: the innate instinct to turn your face into the sun so that the shadows are behind you, to push ever forward into new creative territories and modes of artistic expression. The lyrics are paired with The Streets classic style and flow, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in his lyricism over a hypnotic beat.

The track is the latest iteration of 1800 Tequila’s Essential Artists series that looks to champion creatives, culture, independent thinkers, and artists. As a leader in UK garage music and street culture, as well as a huge supporter of fellow creatives, Mike Skinner’s vision and ambitions are shared by the brand and captured in the essence of the song.

Available on all streaming services, the track drops today ahead of The Streets’ hotly anticipated album and film which are set to release on October 20th. ‘The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light’ will be The Streets’ first album in over a decade.
