NO NEED TO BE SUPERSTITIOUS, AS LONDON IS NAMED ‘LUCKIEST’ CITY IN THE UK

Millions of Brits have a lucky item of clothing, knock on wood, or avoid walking under ladders. However, according to new UK-wide research, London has been named as the least likeliest place to follow these bizarre superstitions, making the city the least ritualistic of the 15 major UK cities involved.

Research conducted by 888 Poker has found that a third (33%) of Londoners would describe themselves as not believing in any superstitions whatsoever, making them much more pragmatic than most in the UK, with the average showing 73% of the population do believe in superstitions.

This rational way of life does however appear to be bringing the city an abundance of joy, as 59% of the London locals in question consider themselves naturally lucky, naming them the ‘luckiest’ city in the UK.

Although, this habitual luckiness doesn’t stop the people of London from wishing their dreams in a more simple form, as only 15% see wishing as a futile act, with the rest admitting having wished for either good health or a financial windfall at some point in their lives.

They may well be in the minority but there are some in the city that still do have the occasional superstition.
