NORTH WEST LONDON CHARITY BOOSTED BY DONATION FROM LOCAL HOUSEBUILDER

London housebuilder Redrow has made a £500 donation to help local charity Young Jains continue to host events and support connections within the local community.

Founded in 1987 and based in North West London, Young Jains supports the local community by hosting a range of free events including discussions, retreats, a book club, debates, quiz nights, musical evenings and study sessions. These events harness the power of community and serve as a platform for interaction and relationship building. At the heart of Young Jains is its dedicated committee of eight, who steer the organisation and ensure it continues to thrive.

Redrow London’s donation will support the organisation with the costs for regularly hosting their events while helping them to continue to grow and support current and new members.

Shaileen Shah, Member of the Non-Executive Committee of Young Jains: “As an active volunteer at Young Jains, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the power of community. Our work is not just about providing support, it’s about creating connections, fostering inclusivity and building a sense of belonging.

“On behalf of everyone at Young Jains, I would like to thank Redrow for their generous donation which will help us continue our mission and support our community.”

The donation is part of Redrow London’s Community Fund which launched last year. The fund provides organisations, schools and groups at the heart of the North West London community with donations to help them flourish. The housebuilder has also provided investment in the area surrounding Colindale Gardens and has handed over 249 new homes to Barnet Council to support the accessibility of affordable homes in the area.
