Independent food shop Nourished Communities is teaming up with Sarnie Social (@sarnie.social) for a two-day sandwich pop-up celebrating great food, independent businesses and community spirit.
Taking place on 7th and 8th November at Nourished Communities, 263 Upper Street, the collaboration will bring together two limited-edition sandwiches created especially for the occasion: a Lazy Butter Chicken Sarnie, the other a Harissa Cauliflorette Sarnie (vegetarian).
The two sarnies bring big flavours and plenty of crunch to the table. The Lazy Butter Chicken with juicy chicken thighs together with crisp chicory, fresh lettuce, punchy pickled chillies and crunchy lotus root for a seriously satisfying bite.
Meanwhile, the Harissa Cauliflower packs a flavour punch with rose harissa, smoky yoghurt and tahini, fresh parsley and coriander, tangy pickled onion and green chilli, a zing of lemon, a dusting of sumac and crunchy lotus root.
Visitors can pair their sandwich with a beer (they’ll be £12.50 each or £15 for the beer combo) and settle in for an afternoon of good food, music and a lively garden party. Every sandwich purchase will include entry to the garden, turning a quick bite into an opportunity to meet friends, discover local food businesses and enjoy a taste of the neighbourhood.
The collaboration brings together Nourished Communities and Sarnie Social around a shared love of bringing people together through food.

It’s a chance to bring the local community together, support independent food businesses and have a bit of fun along the way. And eat some epic sandwiches!”

“2 sarnies, 2 days, zero chances of a sequel. Come hungry, leave smug that you were there!”
