After recent data reveals cases of STIs have increased exponentially in the over 65s age group, EmuCasino has created branded condoms in a bid to encourage the older generation to have safer sex and also to consider safe gambling as an alternative hobby.

Mike Greenburg, General Manager at Emucasino, said: “Senior sex is a topic considered taboo and is wrongly dismissed as something that isn’t happening. As the evidence suggests, the older generation is having a lot more sex than previously thought. According to research, STDs have surged among men aged 65 in England with a 20% increase in just two years.

“Globally, cases of STDs have increased among the older population which could be down to reduced anxiety about pregnancy, the availability of erectile dysfunction drugs which can help older men remain sexually active, and the number of years that have passed since receiving sex education.

“Whilst sex is to be enjoyed by all ages, it is important to make sure safe sex is being practised no matter how old you are.”

EmuCasino is also encouraging the older generation to consider safe gambling as well as safe sex. Looking at its most recent data from October 2022 to October 2023, 0% of registering or depositing customers with Emucasino were in the 78-97 age bracket. As of October 2023, 60% of depositing customers are aged between 18 and 37, 37% are in the 38-57 age group, and 3% are 58-77 years old.
