OPEN MEDIA SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY WITH ANNIE RICKARD AND MORE

OPEN Media have chosen to support International Women’s Day by running a week long campaign across their social media platforms and out of home digital advertising screens. The campaign will be nationwide, and will feature influential female leaders from across the UK discussing what International Women’s Day means to them.

The campaign will feature inspirational women such as Natasha Jonas, a British professional boxer, and Annie Rickard, Director of the Womens Equality Party and Ex Global President Posterscope.

International Women’s Day is about celebrating women’s achievements and increasing visibility, while calling out inequality. The theme for 2020 is #EachForEqual, which will be displayed as a running theme through OPEN Media’s campaign.

OPEN Media are an independent out of home media owner that specialise in large format city centre digital screens. The company made their move into London in 2019 with their Boxpark Wembley site, their first screen outside the north.

2020 has seen OPEN Media run a series of ‘OPEN Chats’ – events designed to inspire and support women in the out of home and media industry. The chats are hosted by senior women in the OOH or wider media industry, and are attended exclusively by other women from varying aspects of the media.

OPEN Media Managing Director, Mike Smith said:

“This campaign is so important to OPEN Media as it has always been a priority of ours to champion women within the workplace, and we are now proud to say that our team is majority female. What better way to speak to millions of people than via our digital out of home network and social media platforms.”
