Oranj celebrates the world cup with late nights and a series of burgers from global chefs

Oranj, known for its curation of natural wines and world class chefs, announces a unique World Cup screening schedule at its bar and restaurant on Dray Walk, Shoreditch.

Throughout June and July, the people of London, on a quest to find the perfect spot to watch the games, will be welcomed at Oranj for a friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to soak up the culture of some of the 48 teams taking part in the football tournament.

Chefs from Mexico, England, Netherlands, Spain, Iran, Argentina, Portugal and Canada are the first to be announced for Oranj: The World Cup Burger Series. For one night only, each chef’s burger will be available as a special menu item on the day of their native team’s first fixture. Everyone is welcome to try the burger and watch the game, whether chowing down with national pride, eating the opposition, or simply there for a good time.

Open – but not for business as usual – Oranj will be showing England and major international fixtures across two screens – inside, and on the sunny Dray Walk terrace. The kitchen will be open, serving Head Chef, Elies Salva’s menu of Spanish pintxos and small plates alongside the burger specials. The bar will be open late, serving a special menu of football legend-inspired cocktails, alongside drinks at Apero Hour prices. That includes carafes of wine for £20, Vermouth & Soda and pints of Pillars Pilsner, Guinness and Lucky Saint for £6.

Oranj: The World Cup Burger Series is available to pre-book at this link for £20. Each ticket guarantees the guest chef burger and a drink (choice of beer, wine, vermouth + soda, soft drink). Due to limited availability, pre-reserving is highly recommended.
