OREO LAUNCHES THE OREO TWISTS LAB

This September, the World’s no.1 cookie brand* is twisting up the ordinary, as it opens the doors to The OREO Twists Lab. The two-day event, fronted by a collective of artists, from airbrushers and painters to illustrators, will give attendees the chance to see their chosen items transformed into a truly personal memento.

Held in London’s Soho, a hotspot for creativity and design, visitors will be transported into a world which turns the everyday into the extraordinary, the moment they step through the door.

Emblazoned with bold stripes and coloured lights from floor to ceiling, a captivating window will show how the most familiar of items can be turned into something unique and conversation starting.

The dramatic focal point of the Lab will be five dedicated customisation stations where guests can watch the creativity unfold, as the customisers work their magic. Here, blank notepads, water bottles and t-shirts will be given a customised makeover that transforms them into a uniquely styled accessory.

The customisers in action will be:
Tomiwa Sosanya – A self-taught, 24-year-old designer who has sold his designs in over 20 countries, working for both household name brands and music artists
Aina Fontich – Originally from Barcelona and now based in Manchester, Aina is a freelance graphic designer who loves bold compositions, bright colours, and kitsch art.
Nicolas Dixon – Leeds born abstract artist, Nicolas has been adopted by the UK’s house music and DJ scene as one of its favourite artists with his versatile pieces featured everywhere from hotels to street murals
Rina Wanti – A professional London based designer with a background in mandala and Henna design she has created pieces for the likes of Elton John and Burberry
Stefano Meloni – A Customs Lab artist for Vans in its flagship Oxford Street store, his customisation style is deeply ingrained in reflecting the customers personality
The free day tickets will allow guests to watch the customisations unfold and sample the products. Tickets are expected to go quickly, however there will be a limited number of walk ins on the day. A select number of walk ins will be able to have an item customised at one of the customisation stations.

Alongside the items for the customisation slots, the artists will be twisting up a few special pieces for show – including a denim jacket, surfboard and footballs.

Within this world of customisation, visitors can also pick up a free sample of the new OREO products at the tasting station.

The new, delicious OREO Twists Vanilla & Raspberry and OREO Twists Vanilla & Caramel are now available nationwide. Combining one layer of vanilla creme with either caramel or raspberry flavoured creme, the OREO Twists add a playful twist to the original black and white cookie.

Fans should also keep their eyes peeled for a chance to win a selection of the one-of-a-kind items through a competition going live after the event.

Katya Savelieva, Brand Manager for OREO UK says: “At OREO we love putting a playful twist on the everyday. We’re therefore so excited to mark the launch of the new OREO Twists by welcoming people to our OREO Twists Lab pop-up. Whether it’s watching an original item being customised by one of our amazing customisers, or trying our new OREO Twist cookies, it’ll be a memorable experience for everyone who joins us.”
