Pact Coffee brings brewing kit to the Waitrose coffee aisle for first time
London speciality roaster Pact Coffee is bringing the first item of brewing kit to Waitrose coffee aisles.
This drip filter, the V60, is made by Pact Coffee in collaboration with Japanese manufacturer Hario. It’s available in 242 stores from 17th November at the promotional price of £8.80 and will be priced at £11 from 2nd January.
Pact’s V60 is made from heat-proof plastic and comes with a measuring scoop and 40 paper filters.
Pact’s Director of Growth, Sophie Sheach, said: “The V60 is synonymous with Pact Coffee. It’s easy to use, takes just a minute more than instant coffee, and gets the very best flavours from top-quality coffee.
“For this reason, it’s a fantastic way for customers to take their first steps into speciality coffee and notice the huge jump up in quality. By extension, we’ve seen a significant amount of our subscribers gifting it to loved ones.
“We’re delighted to introduce this to Waitrose customers so that they discover how easy it is to bring a whole new quality of coffee to their homes.”
Polly Astbury, Waitrose coffee buyer, said: “The V60 makes unbeatable filter coffee and is regularly used at the world’s top coffee competitions and cafés. Its affordable price and simplicity make it the perfect piece of kit for creating great coffee at home every day.”
The launch comes after Pact Coffee launched in Waitrose in 2023 and Whole Foods and Ocado in 2024. It most recently bought its lower-priced line, House Coffee, to grocery shelves in June 2024.
