Parthian Climbing is hosting a free climbing experience during the May Half Term holidays, ahead of its official launch at Southside Shopping Centre this summer.

From Monday 29th May to Sunday 4th June between 11am and 4pm, those looking to experience the thrill of roped climbing will be able to drop into Parthian Climbing at Southside Shopping Centre to try their hand at scaling a specially designed wall. The event is free to attend, and no booking is required.

The event will take place in the atrium at Parthian Climbing Wandsworth and will offer a unique opportunity for young adventurers to discover the joy of roped climbing in a safe and controlled environment. Qualified instructors will be on hand to ensure a memorable and educational experience for all, giving kids a taste of what will be on offer once the centre is open.

The climbing facility will also be running a free 18+ only session on Wednesday 31st May from 4pm – 7pm, designed for adults who are interested in learning the ropes.

Visitors will also be able to get a glimpse of the never-before-seen state-of-the-art climbing complex which will officially open at Southside Shopping Centre this summer. Offering bouldering, auto-belays and roped climbing, the new destination will be designed for all levels, from families to climbing enthusiasts.

The new venue is the first indoor climbing facility in the UK to include an exact replica of ‘The Titan’, the bouldering wall which will feature at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Working in collaboration with Olympic Climbing wall supplier, EP Climbing, the leading-edge wall is set to attract professional athletes worldwide as a training tool in the run-up to the Olympics.
