One of London’s most popular pop-up sellers – the plant-tastic Jungle in Town – will be back in the capital next month.

The pop-up shop, which has been helping Londoners add a touch of green to their homes since 2019, will be returning to Peckham’s Copeland Gallery from June 11-13, with an array of house plants.

Plant sales have bloomed throughout the pandemic with figures from a trade body showing sales of potted plants and foliage were up by 81% last July compared to 2019.

The family run business is vowing to maintain the ‘green love’ with a dazzling array of perfect house plants. Jungle in Town secures plants from suppliers in the UK and the Netherlands, less than 72 hours before opening up, to ensure they are of the finest quality and freshness.

The business has painstakingly sourced their leafy and floral offerings and will again bring more than 100 varieties of house plant including highly desirable Yucca, Monstera, Ficus, Snake plants, Cactus and Alocasia Calathea.

A large quantity of house plants will be for sale with prices ranging from a bargain £2 up to £30, making them more competitive than retail outlets. To ensure there is sufficient stock – as demand is always high – potential shoppers are invited to register their interest in the pop-up event on Jungle in Town’s Facebook page.

Adel Benrahal, one of the three siblings that run Jungle in Town, said: “We love our monthly visits to London as there is such a buzz. People really enjoy the experience of pop-up shopping.

“Londoners love their plants and we love to share our passion and knowledge on how to care for and get the most from their plants.

“Plants are a precious commodity and offer much more than people realise. They bring softness, well-being, joy and beauty into people’s lives.

“Unfortunately, we’ve not been able to do that as much as we’d like because of everything going on in the world over the past year, but now we aim to thrive again and bring much more ‘green love’ to the city.”

Jungle in Town will be at the Copeland Gallery from 10am to 8pm on June 11-13. The gallery is located at the Bussey Building, Copeland Rd, SE15 3SN. The nearest train station is Peckham Rye.
