Residents, staff and visitors at Pittsmead Grange Care Home in Hayes came together to celebrate Easter with a series of joyful and meaningful events, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.

The celebrations began with a moving Easter Church Service held within the home and led by member of the local Church. The service provided residents with a moment of reflection and spiritual connection, bringing comfort and a strong sense of community to all who attended.

Festivities continued with a vibrant Greek Mezze-themed afternoon party, where residents and guests enjoyed a delicious spread of traditional dishes, a wonderful singer and a chance to have a dance. The event was filled with laughter, conversation and a lively atmosphere, offering a wonderful opportunity for everyone to socialise and celebrate together.

A highlight of the celebrations was the Easter Raffle, which featured a beautifully crafted Easter Cake as the main prize. The cake, created by the home’s talented Chef Wendy, drew admiration and excitement from participants and Chris, the winner was delighted with her prize!

Importantly, all proceeds from the raffle were donated to Barchester’s Charitable Foundation, supporting its ongoing work to help older people and adults living with a disability or mental health problem in the local communities across the country.

David, a resident at Pittsmead Grange said: “It has been so lovely to spend time with our families this Easter, though like every Easter, I think I’ve eaten too much chocolate! It was so wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort. I really enjoyed the fun party and delicious food.”
