Traditional Neapolitan pizzeria group Pizza Pilgrims has teamed up with The Cheese Bar, London based champions of British cheese, to create a cheese fondue pizza featuring a rich blend of the finest British and Italian cheeses.

Taking indulgence to a new level, La Fonduta will see The Cheese Bar’s Cornish Gouda and Cotswold Hard cheese, Kingham, join forces with the Italian Mozzarella, Ricotta and Parmesan Pizza Pilgrims is famed for, melted in the oven with a splash of white wine and garlic. Taking inspiration from Khachapuri, the national dish of Georgia, La Fonduta balances the sweet nuttiness of the Cornish Gouda with the earthy, umami notes from the Kingham, making a complex and delicious fondue that works in harmony with silky, Italian Mozzarella. Perfect for ripping and dipping, the pizza is topped with prosciutto, balsamic pickled onion and cornichons. From 10th February until 1st March, La Fonduta will be available at all Pizza Pilgrims locations, priced at £12.

After trading alongside each other for several years during their street food days, the pizza will mark the first time the The Cheese Bar and Pizza Pilgrims have come together to create something collaboratively, and follows a cheese filled research and development trip to The Cotswolds, in which both restaurants spent time tasting and hand picking a selection of their favourite British cheeses, to ensure they found the perfect combination for the fondue.

La Fonduta will be available from all Pizza Pilgrims locations from 10th February until 1st March, priced at £12.
