Plans Submitted for David Lloyd Club at Newland Park
Following engagement with local residents, councillors and stake holders leading developer Comer Homes and David Lloyd Clubs, Europe’s leading health and wellness group, has submitted a new planning application to Buckinghamshire County Council, to obtain planning consent for a state-of-the-art facility at Newland Park in Chalfont St. Peter.
During construction the project is expected to create more than 60 construction jobs, whilst generating more than £4million for local subcontractors and companies. With plans to start work on site in 2025, the David Lloyd Club at Newland Park will create 80 to 100 full-time equivalent jobs and will also engage with the local community as the leading health group has committed and delivered at all their new club openings to date.
Sufficient parking will be present, with 231 car parking spaces inclusive of 16 disabled spaces and 6 parent and child space, as well as 20 cycle spaces. The scheme will also see improvements made to traffic passing places on Gorelands Lane to improve road-safety.
Additionally, Comer Homes are finalising an agreement with Amersham & Chalfont Hockey Club to enhance their existing facilities at their Amersham College site.
Brian Comer, Co-Founder and Chairman of Comer Homes, said: “To partner with David Lloyd Clubs to deliver this market leading health resort is a real testament to the prominence of Newland Park. There is nothing else like this in the surrounding area, so the facility will be a real asset to residents and the local community. It is the cherry on top of the cake for what will be one of the UK’s finest developments.”
