The global leader in indoor golf and entertainment is celebrating the return of the Premier League with a new matchday experience for fans.
Five Iron Golf, the indoor golf and entertainment venue which opened its first UK location at Broadgate this summer, has launched 90 + 90, giving groups the chance to play 90 minutes of virtual golf before settling down to watch 90 minutes of Premier League action.
For £60 per person, groups get their own state-of-the-art simulator bay, where they can compete against friends on hundreds of famous courses from around the world. At kick-off, the simulator switches over to become their own giant screen for the match.
A pizza or NYC smash burger and an ice-cold pint per person are also included.
The launch offer comes as the Premier League prepares to return, with reigning champions Arsenal taking on newly promoted Coventry City in the opening game of the new season.
It will be Coventry’s first Premier League match in 25 years and will also see manager and Chelsea and England legend Frank Lampard return to the top flight.
For fans looking for something different from the traditional pub matchday, 90 + 90 offers a new way to make an afternoon or evening of the football, competing with friends before kick-off and then watching the match together without leaving the bay.
And there’s no need to be a golfer. Five Iron is designed as much as a social and entertainment destination as a place to play golf, welcoming everyone from experienced players to complete beginners.
Complimentary Callaway clubs are provided, while Trackman simulator technology gives guests access to more than 300 of the world’s best-known courses without leaving central London.
Beyond the bays, the venue features a full-service bar and restaurant, live sport and a programme of golf lessons, leagues and events.
For those who want a shorter session before the football, Five Iron has also introduced Bay, Burger, Beer for £40 per person, combining an hour in a simulator bay with a burger and pint, with the match available to watch on screens throughout the venue.
UK CEO Eric Parker said:“Matchday has always been about getting your friends together, and we wanted to create a new way to spend that time together that starts well before kick-off.
“Five Iron is built around making golf social, accessible and fun, whether you play every week or have never picked up a club. 90 + 90 brings that idea to football fans, you can compete with your friends, have some food and drinks and then settle in for the match, all in the same place.
“It’s a completely different alternative to heading straight to the pub, and you definitely don’t need to be a golfer to enjoy it. In fact, half the fun might be finding out which of your mates is absolutely terrible at it!”
Located at 1 Finsbury Avenue in Broadgate, moments from Liverpool Street Station, Five Iron Golf opened its first UK venue in July.
The 6,900-square-foot venue has eight Trackman golf simulators alongside a full-service bar and restaurant, with screens showing live sport including Premier League football and Formula 1. It also offers lessons, leagues, events and social golf for players of all abilities.
Five Iron Golf began in New York in 2017 and has since grown to more than 40 locations internationally. The London venue is the first under plans to open 10 Five Iron Golf locations across the UK.
The 90 + 90 experience costs £60 per person, with a minimum of three people. Bay, Burger, Beer costs £40 per person.
