Promedica24 is Creating 100 Jobs in Bexley and Meopham as Demand for Live-in Care Soars

Promedica24, Europe’s largest provider of live-in care services for older and vulnerable people, is looking for one hundred live-in carers in Bexley and Meopham to meet a surge in demand.

With 150 new care workers already hired and trained since the start of the year, the company is planning to increase its workforce over the next 18 months by another 2000 people across the country, including the creation of approximately one hundred positions in Bexley and Meopham.

Promedica24 offers a rewarding career and extensive training as a live-in care provider specialising in supporting older and vulnerable people to live independently and well in the comfort of their own homes.

Darren Housden, Sales and Marketing Director at Promedica24, said the demand for live-in care services has soared with families now looking for alternative care at home services rather than selecting the more traditional residential care home option.

Darren commented: “Awareness of live-in care has increased during the pandemic as we’ve seen a significant rise in demand of people wanting full-time support at home. Live-in care has proven to be a safer alternative to care homes, especially when we are talking about limiting the spread of infectious diseases and enhancing people’s mental wellbeing by enabling them to stay in familiar surroundings. It’s understandable that families want to explore this option after the events of the last 12 to 18 months.

“Despite the challenges faced by Covid-19 and Brexit, of which both have significantly contributed to the workforce shortages seen across the sector, we’re ramping up our recruitment of UK care workers and we’re extremely pleased to be able to create 2000 jobs in communities across the UK. The current UK unemployment rate stands at 4.7% and with millions still without jobs due to businesses remaining closed or sadly shutting their doors for good, we want to give suitable people opportunities to start new careers and improve local employment rates by getting people back into work.

“However, candidates should remember that the job comes with a great level of responsibility and requires certain personality traits, such as empathy, resilience and patience, to be able to adequately support the physical and emotional needs of those most vulnerable.”

Paula Beaney, Quality Assurance Director at Promedica24, commented:

“The pandemic has shone a light on the vital role care workers play in society. Often forgotten and undervalued, their dedication to keeping people safe has resonated with thousands of people across the country, now seeking a fulfilling career in social care.

“We provide extensive training and development opportunities for our care workers to ensure we deliver the highest quality services to all who need it. Having previous care experience is beneficial but as a values-led organisation, our focus is on finding people who are compassionate in nature and will live out our ideals of honesty, integrity, transparency, equality, commitment, and respect.

“We’re looking for up to 2000 kind-hearted, compassionate people across the UK to join our team of care workers. You’ll receive bespoke training and ongoing support from our dedicated care managers and work with a friendly team who strive to enhance the quality of people’s lives. Whether you’ve faced unemployment or are still furloughed, have previous care experience, or want to do something completely different, we’d love you to consider a career with Promedica24.”
