Ralph Breaks the Internet closes this year’s Into Film Festival

An exclusive Pupil Premiere of Disney’s sequel to Wreck It Ralph – Ralph Breaks the Internet took place to close this year’s Into Film Festival in London’s Leicester Square this morning.

The screening was introduced by the film’s directors, Phil Johnston and Rich Moore, and producer, Clark Spencer as well as Will Gardner, CEO of child internet safety charity, Childnet.

Six years after the events of ‘Wreck It Ralph’, Ralph (John C Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) embark on an adventure inside the internet to find a spare part to fix a video game. The Festival screening will be introduced by the film’s filmmakers Rich Moore, Phil Johnston and Clark Spencer and child internet safety charity, Childnet, who will be discussing the film and how to use the internet in a positive way and keep safe online.

The Festival, hosted by film education charity, Into Film, is programmed for 5-19 year olds and opened in London on November 7 with a pupil premiere of The Grinch. Overall, it hosted almost 3000 screenings across 550 venues and featuring over 150 films –  www.intofilm.org/festival.

The Into Film Festival is completely supported by the UK film industry, the major UK cinema chains and a vast and varied selection of venues across the UK who all make this free cultural event possible. Last year’s Festival welcomed 487,000 young people from all backgrounds and corners of the UK.

Accessibility and inclusivity are key aims of the Festival with over half of the programme offered as audio-described, subtitled or autism-friendly.
