RECORD SALES AT LONDON DESIGNER OUTLET AS SHOPPERS CELEBRATE THE EASING OF LOCKDOWN

London Designer Outlet (LDO), London’s leading outlet shopping destination had reopened its stores with never-before-seen levels of stock, providing retail-starved Londoners with an abundance of fashion choice post-lockdown.

Following three and half months of store closures, LDO’s brands have accumulated weekly stock drops of coveted fashion items. As a result, LDO’s fashion and sportwear brands have reopened with more spring and summer options than ever before, all discounted at up to 70 per cent off the RRP.

The reopening of LDO in the midst of the Easter school holidays, has been a welcome return for its loyal guests, who have been shopping in their droves since April 12th. The designer outlet, popular for offering a treasure trove of desirable and globally renowned athleisure and fashion brands, has experienced a surge in sales and footfall since its reopening, with sales up by 148% compared to the last reopening period in June 2020.

It would seem shoppers are keen to reclaim past times that have been restricted during the lockdown measures, as LDO has seen a spike in sales for items including bright lipsticks, men’s shorts, tailoring, high heels, and jewellery from brands including Gap, Chapelle, Hair Focus, Beauty Outlet, The North Face and Nike.

The return of outdoor sporting activities, as well as the option to dine al fresco, has seen savvy Londoners out in force shopping at London Designer Outlet for new and investment pieces.

As proposals (and subsequent weddings) return to the agenda with the easing of social restrictions, Chapelle, LDO’s high-end jewellers, has seen an influx of customers purchasing engagement rings and wedding bands at up to 70 per cent off RRP, as a result of consumers holding off on taking the next ‘big step’ during the lockdown period.

Beauty is proving to be big business as LDO’s beauty and wellness brands have seen a substantial increase in sales and demand for hot-item products including skincare, highlighters and fragrances, notably being snapped up by 20 to 30-year-olds. Hair Focus reopened their London Designer Outlet salon to fully booked appointments with people wanting fresh cuts as soon as possible, and as a result, had their best performing weeks ever.
