The Dulux dog may have some serious new competition after a guinea pig doppelgänger has been spotted with a striking resemblance to the famous, four-legged fluffy icon.

Misty, a four-year-old guinea pig, who was recently rescued into her new home in Bath, holds a fabulously fluffy grey and white coat – like that of the Dulux dog.

Misty’s new owners, Ian and Clare, instantly noticed the uncanny resemblance to the famous pup when their neighbour introduced them and asked the pair if they would like to adopt her.

The couple fell in love with the gorgeous guinea pig, who sadly had been on her own for quite some time. Soon after, they brought her home to join their herd of four other female guinea pigs.

Look-a-like, Misty with Ian

Speaking of when he noticed Misty’s uncanny resemblance to the Dulux dog, Ian said: “As soon as I saw Misty’s markings, I knew I had to share the story with the team at Dulux. She’s a mini-double for the Dulux dog, although Misty definitely doesn’t need as many walks or as much grooming… a simple brush of her hair and teeth and she’s good to go.”

To honour the mini doppelgänger and help settle her into her new home, Marianne, created the ultimate Guinea Pig Palace using Dulux’s Simply Refresh Multi-Surface paint. Fitted with a hand-painted mural of Misty adorned on the front, the colours Pressed Petal, Timeless and Fresh Foliage were used to create an inviting yet calm abode for the newly rescued pet.
