REVIEW: Pure Indian Cooking – Fulham, SW6

by Matt Martino || Features

Set in the busy yet affluent Fulham High Street, a mere stone throw from a nearby Underground station. The cosy yet warm Pure Indian Cooking eatery has quite a lot going for it!

On arrival I was met by an eager young man who gave me an array of seating options and immediately offered a menu and some water.

The setting is very simple, classic with a flair of colorful trends which complete the modern furnishings which allow ample comfort and spacing.

Dining:

For my starters I had the tongue tickling Patra chaat, suitably priced at £6 the dish was light full of texture with an appetising set of colors aided by the varying ingredients.

For my main meal I had the Mangalorean chicken (13), with Saffron rice (3) and Peshawari naan – as a lover of sweet bread I was swept off my feet by the nann which so cunningly complimented the exquisite Mangalorean chicken!

For my desert I enjoyed the Rose & Chocolate fondant, an excellent home made chocolate also closely coupled with possibly the best pistachio ice-cream I have ever had!

The verdict: “A mouthwatering menu selection filled with sumptuous dishes with a very reasonable price structure for such fine dining”
