RHS Garden Wisley closed this weekend due to roadworks

The Royal Horticultural Society has announced that RHS Garden Wisley and the cafe will close this weekend, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 February, due to roadworks.

National Highways is closing part of the A3 in both directions from 9pm on Friday 23 February to 5.30am on Monday 26 February, between the M25 and the A247/B2215 south of Ripley. The work is part of the M25 junction 10/A3 Wisley interchange development.

The road closure means that sadly, it is not possible to welcome members and visitors to the garden or cafe that weekend as the majority of our guests require access via J10 on the A3. The shop will open until 3pm on Saturday and Sunday for local trade.

RHS Garden Wisley will reopen on Monday morning again as usual.

Laura Booty, Head of RHS Garden Wisley, said: “It is with regret that we must close the gardens this weekend. Unfortunately, most visitors would not be able to access the site.

“We are delighted that outside of these hours, the gardens will be open as usual for everyone to come and enjoy the blossoming signs of spring.

“While it has not been possible to purchase tickets for the gardens over that weekend since news of the closure was announced by National Highways last month, anyone who had already bought a ticket is welcome to use it within the next three months.

“We would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and look forward to welcoming our guests any other day.”
