Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club today officially opens Upstairs at Ronnie’s, a newly transformed live music space that marks one of the most significant developments in the club’s 65-year history. The opening follows a launch show earlier this week featuring acclaimed singers Nao and Vula, and today the venue opens its doors to the public for the first time.

Set on the first floor of the world-famous Soho club, Upstairs at Ronnie’s introduces a purpose-built, intimate room designed for deep musical connection. With a capacity of just 140, the venue is conceived as a global destination for boundary-pushing live performance across jazz, soul, R&B, gospel, hip-hop, classical, and genre-defying contemporary music.

The launch programme combines established names with rising talent and new strands of programming unique to the space – including late-night sessions, collaborative residencies, a vocal jazz jam, and cross-genre performances that sit comfortably alongside the club’s jazz heritage while pushing it forward.

The venue will host two headline shows per night, with doors at 5pm and performances beginning at 6.30pm, followed by a second show with doors at 8.45pm and a 9.15pm start. Most shows are priced at £35. Building on the club’s legendary late-night reputation, Upstairs at Ronnie’s will also host a Late Late Show every Thursday, Friday and Saturday (and select Tuesdays), beginning at 11.15pm, with tickets from £12. Lunchtime shows on Saturdays and Sundays further extend the venue’s programme.
