ROSA’S THAI TO OPEN IN BALHAM
On Monday 31st March, Rosa’s Thai will open the doors to its Balham restaurant. To celebrate the opening, Rosa’s Thai Balham will offer 50% off food during its soft launch from Tuesday 18th to Sunday 30th March inclusive.
Rosa’s Thai was co-founded by Saiphin and Alex Moore, who brought dishes from Saiphin’s native Thailand to London when they opened a market stall on Brick Lane back in 2007. A year later they took over ‘Rosa’s Cafe’ in Spitalfields, a traditional east London cafe just around the corner from the stall, and opened the first Rosa’s Thai restaurant. Now, over 16 years later, Rosa’s Thai is known for bringing signature Thai hospitality and fresh, vibrant cooking to neighbourhoods across the UK.
Guests at Rosa’s Thai can expect an unfussy and relaxed dining experience, with Thai dishes made using Saiphin’s time-honoured recipes championing the best of Thai ingredients, including pad Thai noodles from a 3rd generation family business and curry pastes from a husband and wife team in Huai Yod. The menu includes familiar Thai dishes such as red and green curries, pad Thai, and papaya salad, and signature fan favourites including fragrant ‘Pad Makhuea’ stir fried aubergine and spicy drunken noodles. There’s an extensive selection of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, as well as dishes with varying spice levels, to suit guests tastes. Families are taken care of with a “Little Rosa’s” children’s menu, and food will be available for takeaway, click and collect through the Rosa’s Thai website, or delivery through Uber Eats and Just Eat.
As for drinks, diners can enjoy Singha on tap, Rosa’s house Thai-PA and ‘Mai Mao’ beers, Thai-inspired cocktails such as Chilli Lageritas and Dragon Star Martinis, as well as bubble teas and Thai soft drinks.
Located just off the high street, Rosa’s Thai Balham will seat 54 covers across a mixture of cosy booths and tables, as well as a further eight covers outside for al fresco dining during the warmer months. The eye-catching red exterior is reminiscent of the original Rosa’s Thai restaurant in Spitalfields, whilst the interiors mix shades of green with warm pops of red. Wall art and neon accents throughout the restaurant recall Bangkok’s lively café culture.
Of the launch, Saiphin Moore said “We’re thrilled to be opening a Rosa’s Thai in Balham. I’ve always loved the vibrant energy of this neighbourhood and can’t wait to bring our real Thai recipes and warm hospitality to the area”
