RUGBY LEAGUE WORLD CUP FANS CAN ENJOY FULL EXPERIENCE WITH ‘STAYS AND EXPERIENCES’ PLATFORM

Fans attending Rugby League World Cup 2021 can immerse themselves in the tournament’s host towns and cities using the new ‘Stays and Experiences’ platform which allows fans attending the tournament to secure their accommodation and book experiences all in one place.

The platform is incredibly easy to use. All fans have to do is head to RLWC2021 website to the ‘Stays and Experience’ section. Once there they will then be given a number of hotels and visitor experiences in the area to choose from to add to their package, all of which can be completed as one transaction.

Mick Hogan, Revenue Director for Rugby League World Cup 2021, said:

“This year’s tournament is taking place in some iconic host towns and cities, all of which are packed full of culture and with some great places to stay.

“We know that many fans will be travelling all over the country and from across the world to watch our 61 matches. We therefore wanted to give them a platform that would make it as straightforward as possible to secure their accommodation and enjoy other experiences while they are visiting.

“We want to make it easy for fans travelling to the tournament but we hope that it will also provide a significant economic boost for local businesses in our host towns and cities.”

There is some fantastic accommodation and experiences to choose from. For example, those attending the opening fixture in the men’s tournament between England and Samoa at St James’ Park in Newcastle, there is the option of adding an experience such as a tour of Newcastle Castle where the story of Newcastle began, the reason the city got its name and with spectacular views over the city and the River Tyne.

Fans attending one or all of the three finals in Manchester will be able to add a Craft Beer Tour or a Manchester River Cruise to their weekend away.
