Days after hosting a star-studded engagement party, Ryan Thomas was brought back down to earth with a face full of slime this weekend thanks to his four-year-old nephew Teddy Thomas and brother Adam Thomas at Shrek’s Adventure! London.

The former soap star and Celebrity Big Brother winner was left dripping in luminous green gunge after his nephew Teddy, nominated his famous uncle to step into Shrek’s Gunge Tank.

While enjoying weeks of engagement bliss since proposing to his fiancé Lucy Mecklenburgh in Italy, the actor was less than impressed stepping out of the tank covered in green gunge after Teddy and Adam pulled the lever to drop a tank full of slime over his head.

Ryan Thomas, said: “Getting gunged was something I will never forget. I think Teddy and Adam enjoyed pulling the lever a little too much. It’s going to take a while to get all this green slime off me ha-ha.

I think it’s a great opportunity for the kids to get their own back on their parents and family on the summer holiday. At the same time, it’s bringing in the guests from all over and showing that Shrek’s Adventure! London is here on the Southbank.”

Giving power back to kids during the school holidays and bringing some fun to the South Bank this weekend, Shrek’s Swamp Tank gave children the opportunity to nominate their parents or family for a slime fest.

Parents or family members who were covered in slimy swamp gunge won free child entry into Shrek’s Adventure! London. The courageous parents or family members were able to continue the immersive experience at no cost – a small price to pay for a fun family day out.
