Save the Date for “Wembley Park Pride Presents: The Queer Comedy Club”
Wembley Park is thrilled to announce an extraordinary event, open to all, that promises laughter and inspiration, right in front of the National Stadium. On Saturday, 24th June, London’s most exciting new neighbourhood will host “Wembley Park Pride Presents: The Queer Comedy Club” at Wembley Park’s new, open-air stage, the Sound Shell.
From 6pm to 9pm, Wembley Park will host its second annual Pride celebration, produced by The Queer Comedy Club, the UK’s first and only exclusively LGBTQ+ comedy venue, which opened its doors in Archway, North London, in May 2023.
The event is an integral part of Wembley Park’s Summer of Play programme, and attendees can expect a stellar line-up of comedy talent that will leave them in stitches. The line-up, featuring renowned Edinburgh Fringe stars, up-and-coming circuit talents, and seasoned comedy club veterans, will be announced next week, building anticipation for this exceptional evening.
Under the multi-coloured spotlights of Wembley Park’s new Sound Shell stage on the iconic Olympic Way, attendees will embark on a hilarious journey filled with side-splitting comedy and captivating spoken word performances. This wave of queer hilarity will be combined with moments of reflection and learning, through spoken word artists who will discuss their queer identities.
As a bonus, Wembley Park will warmly welcome all attendees with complimentary popcorn to enhance the overall laughter-filled experience and set the tone for an unforgettable night.
This much-anticipated event is completely FREE and open to all individuals aged 16 and above, as the comedy performances may feature some spicy language. To book tickets, audiences are encouraged to visit Wembley Park’s booking page, as demand is expected to be as high as a drag queen’s heels!
Throughout June, as part of Wembley Park’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity, giant ceremonial banners displaying the Progress Pride flag will adorn Olympic Way, serving as a warm welcome and a symbol of acceptance to all visitors arriving in Wembley for the bustling summer season.
