School Kids Get Creative with Latest Barratt London Donation
Barratt London, the housebuilder responsible for the Ridgeway Views and Millbrook Park developments on The Ridgeway and Bittacy Hill in Mill Hill, has donated 60 playhouses to Frith Manor Primary School’s Reception pupils, the majority of whom are currently learning from home. The children were able to collect their cardboard playhouses from school and take them home to colour-in and decorate over half term.
The donation aims to provide a fun activity to help keep children entertained over the break and give parents and carers a well-earned rest. The playhouses can be easily assembled by an adult, ready for the children to grab their colouring pens, get creative and design their own mini home.
Jim Wood, London Managing Director at Barratt London, said: “Home schooling and zoom calls have gone hand in hand in this latest lockdown. We wanted to give pupils and parents a break from screen time with the opportunity to get some creative juices flowing. As well as a bit of fun for families, where children can enjoy playing mini housebuilders for the day, we also saw this as an opportunity for kids to really express what their home has meant to them over lockdown.”
This is not the first time Barratt London has partnered with Frith Manor Primary School. The housebuilder has previously provided a donation of Christmas tree saplings which pupils were able to take home and plant in their gardens, and an activity for the children in Year 4 in association with Recycling Week.
Wendy Wayland, Headteacher at Frith Manor Primary School, comments: “Our pupils were very excited to get started with decorating their playhouses, and I imagine their parents even more so. I’d like to thank Barratt London for their continued support of our students as we continue navigating through these difficult times.”
The housebuilder is encouraging families to share photographs of the pupils with their finished playhouse on Instagram using the hashtag #MiniBarrattLondon.
