Shooting Star Children’s Hospice receives £1000 this Christmas from local housebuilder

This Christmas, Barratt Homes has partnered with Shooting Star Children’s Hospice, having made a donation of £1000 to the organisation. The donation from Barratt Southern Counties, whose head office is located just a short walk from the Guildford hospice, Christopher’s, will ensure that the charity can continue to support seriously ill children over Christmas.

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices provides bespoke support free of charge to families and includes a comprehensive range of therapies and support groups for the whole family, specialist nursing care and respite, symptom management, end-of-life care and bereavement support.

Kimberley Benson, Sales and Marketing Director for Barratt Southern Counties, comments: “We know that nursing care doesn’t stop over the Christmas period, so we wanted to do our part to help Shooting Star provide much-needed support at this time. We hope that our donation will help to bring the magic of Christmas to their Guildford-based hospice, Christopher’s, and help to create cherished memories for children with life-limiting illness and their families.”

Alex Rennie from Shooting Star Children’s Hospice, comments: “A huge thank you to Barratt Homes for their wonderful Christmas donation of £1,000 to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. We rely on donations like these so that we can continue providing vital care for the families we support across London and Surrey.”
