SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED FOR FIRST EVER PMI UK AWARDS

The UK chapter of PMI (Project Management Institute) has announced the shortlist for its inaugural industry awards, which aim to celebrate the achievements of professional project, portfolio and programme managers and their teams.

The shortlist for the 2019 National Project Awards, sponsored by PwC, was compiled by a judging panel made up of industry experts and PMI representatives.

41 finalists, including HM Land Registry, Dyson, Rolls Royce Plc, Transport for London and The Open University, were chosen after demonstrating superior performance through the application of project management, superior organisational results and/or positive impacts on the community or organisation.

Open to both members and non-members, this is the first time that PMI UK has held the awards, which were launched in celebration of the Institute’s 50th anniversary.

Chris Field, Chair of PMI UK, comments: “It is important to recognise the hard work and achievements of projects managers and their teams throughout the UK and what better way than a glittering awards ceremony during our 50th anniversary. The quality of the entries we received were outstanding, so compiling the shortlist was no easy task. All of the individuals and businesses that have made it to the final have proven to excel themselves in many areas of project management. We wish all of them the best of luck.”

Awards from ten categories including Innovation in Project Management and Young Project Professional of the Year will be presented to winners at a black tie ceremony on 14th November at the Honourable Artillery Company, London.
