Signature at Hendon Hall Welcomes “Petting Paradise” for Heartwarming Animal Therapy Session

Residents at Signature at Hendon Hall were treated to an informative and interactive morning as the luxury care home hosted Megan’s Petting Paradise for an exciting animal encounter.
The visit brought an eclectic mix of creatures into the home, ranging from cuddly rabbits and inquisitive rats to more exotic guests, including a remarkably friendly bearded dragon. The event is part of Hendon Hall’s extensive activities program, which prioritises holistic wellbeing and enabling residents to continue doing the things they love while discovering new interests.
Orla Green, Home Manager at Signature at Hendon Hall, said:
“We were so pleased to welcome Megan’s Petting Paradise into our home. The session created a wonderful atmosphere and prompted a lot of smiles and moments of joy for our residents. Animal visits like these are known for reducing stress and improving mood and they really add something special to life within our home.”
The visit proved particularly moving for some residents who have lifelong bonds with animals. Cynthia Shaw, a resident at Hendon Hall who attended the animal experience, added:
“I adore all animals, so for me it was a truly memorable experience and one that I will remember for a long time. It really brightened the day and gave us all so much to talk about.”
