Sinatra’s original band announce a very special intimate show dubbed Tremonti Sings Sinatra at The O2 indigo

Only one month until the very special evening in London’s intimate venue, indigo at The O2 – Tremonti Sings Sinatra, which will be taking place on Thursday 15 December 2022. The Grammy Award-winning, multi platinum musician, Mark Tremonti, guitarist for hugely successful rock bands, Alter Bridge and Creed, will be paying homage to the catalogue of Frank Sinatra and will be accompanied by surviving members of Sinatra’s band. Tickets are on sale now starting from £37 here, with 100% of artist proceeds being gifted to the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and Down Syndrome International (DSI).

Sold on Tremonti’s mesmerising voice, The Frank Sinatra Estate granted rare approval for Tremonti to sing and record an album of Frank Sinatra classics including ‘I’ve Got You Under My Skin’, ‘Luck Be A Lady’, and ‘My Way’, called ‘Tremonti Sings Sinatra’. Taking the album on the road and lead by Sinatra’s own band leader Mike Smith [Tony Bennett, Harry Connick Jr.], they will be joined by a cohort of A-list musicians whose credits span everyone from Sinatra (of course), Sammy Davis Jr., Ray Charles, Billy Joel, Barbra Streisand, Barry Manilow, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, and Buddy Rich.

The very special evening in London will be an unforgettable night of live music and hold a grand gesture to help raise money for charities very close to both Tremonti and Smith’s hearts – the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and Down Syndrome International (DSI) as part of Mark Tremonti’s new organisation Take A Chance For Charity. For Tremonti, this endeavour began when the Tremonti family found out about their daughter, Stella’s diagnosis of Down Syndrome.

Mark Tremonti says –

“I’ve always loved singing Frank Sinatra songs… One night, I found an old video of him performing ‘The Song Is You’ from 1944. It took my love for Frank Sinatra and his music to a whole new level. It made me study how he got his start. I read all of the books, and I watched all of the movies. I wanted to do something with it. I spent countless hours singing his songs and studying the technique and I started feeling really good about my progress. That led to me trying to figure out what else I could do with this knowledge. This was so different from anything I had ever done before, and I wasn’t sure what to do with it. When we found out about our daughter Stella’s Down Syndrome diagnosis, the stars aligned. My obsession with Sinatra had its reason. He raised more than a billion dollars for charity. Beneath the cool and calm persona, there was a big heart. Doing this charity in his name felt like it was meant to be. I decided to do this record and tour to raise funds for families and individuals with Down Syndrome. Now, I have a new purpose for the rest of my life.”

Tremonti Sings Sinatra serves as the inaugural project for his new Take A Chance For Charity movement. It encourages and empowers artists, actors, athletes, and entertainers of all stripes to step into unexpected territory with a creative initiative for charity. Whether it be a football player singing country, an actor salsa dancing, or a rock/metal guitarist singing Sinatra.

On Take A Chance For Charity, Mark Tremonti says –

“So many talented people have other skills that their fans or followers would never expect. This is the chance to do something you’re passionate about for charity. It’s a greenlight to do whatever you want to do. It’s a win-win all around. I want people to talk about this enough to get other artists to participate. Someday, I hope I’m a little old man who can look back saying he helped raise 100 million dollars for charity. My daughter has already made everyone around her a better person. To do this for her means the world to me.”

Tremonti Sings Sinatra will take place on Thursday 15 December 2022 indigo at The O2.
