SmileDirectClub Helps Drive Shoppers to London’s West End by Launching First SmileShop Storefront

Teledentistry pioneer, SmileDirectClub, is helping to support efforts by the Mayor of London to drive people to the heart of the capital, by opening its first SmileShop storefront in the West End’s Great Titchfield Street. SmileDirectClub will be offering affordable teeth aligner therapy to help Londoners create a smile they love, following 45% of locals revealing they are most self conscious about their teeth and 30% smile.

With the government trying to get customers back into stores, along with the Mayor of London calling to support businesses, SmileDirectClub offers a unique customer experience in their SmileShops to help with the efforts. SmileShop appointments are free and include a 3D image of customers teeth with its innovative technology – and, if eligible, consumers receive premium teeth whitening.

As part of the launch, a study revealed that 30% of people in the capital avoid smiling because they don’t like their teeth; 25% have covered their mouth when talking; and 41% smile with their mouth closed. To help, SmileDirectClub has also launched a new SmilePlan that can be paid over a 24 months period at just £69 monthly, or £1,499 for the treatment that takes on average six months to complete.

David Cran, Vice President of SmileDirectClub, UK and Ireland, comments: “We are thrilled to launch our first SmileShop storefront in London in perfect time as the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan urges locals to return to the city centre to support local businesses. With a mission to help more people realise the life-changing potential of their smiles, SmileDirectClub will continue to increase access to affordable and convenient clear aligner therapy through our SmileShops and also our impression kits.”
