SOUTHERN COMFORT BRINGS THE SPIRIT OF MARDI GRAS FROM NEW ORLEANS TO THE UK
Southern Comfort is kicking-off the 2022 party calendar with a glitter-filled bang! Bringing to life the magic of New Orleans, the Mardi Gras-inspired celebrations will span across the months of January and February. The 6 week celebration will culminate in a party like no other, taking place on Saturday 26th February at London’s Leake Street.
New Orleans’ legendary Mardi Gras celebration sees the city coming together and welcoming everyone to its streets. It’s an explosion of colour, glitter and bead-throwing. It’s the first party of the year, thrown by the most unique city in the world.
Reuniting with Cirque Du Soul – renowned as one of the UK’s leading club nights – Southern Comfort will immerse party-goers into the spirit of New Orleans. With a headline set from chart topper Ewan McVicar of the smash hit Tell Me Something Good, supported by DJ and up and coming talent Jaguar plus London-based Weaver Bros and radio.
Fueling the fun will be a delicious array of Southern Comfort cocktails and slushies, including the Southern Passion. Local London independent eatery, Poor Boys, will serve up their take on the famous New Orleans ‘Po Boy’ sandwich.
And for further magic, guests can transform themselves with the help of makeup artists from In Your Dreams. Expect glitter, sequins, and feathers, in green, purple, golds – if you don’t dress up, you can’t get down.
As part of the Mardi Gras celebrations, Southern Comfort also unveiled a new, limited-edition bottle. Under the watchful eye of New Orleans street artist Brandan ‘BMIKE’ Odums, London-based artist Jade Pearl has created this year’s Mardi Gras limited edition bottle, The bottle contains a QR code, serving up Southern Comfort cocktail recipes or exclusive chances to win prizes – including free tickets to the London party on 26th Feb. The limited bottle is now available in grocery stores nationwide.
