Specsavers is serving up support for London’s padel boom, announcing a six-month partnership with 15 padel clubs across the capital.
As the sport continues to grow and attract large numbers of first-time players in the city, the optician is getting behind grassroots padel clubs to provide meaningful support while driving commercial impact.
The sponsorship campaign will aim to raise awareness of the benefits of wearing contact lenses for sport, in a first-of-its-kind partnership for both Specsavers and the clubs.
As well as providing a financial boost for the clubs, the link-up will include elements like access to a 200k-strong padel club member database, branding across 69 different courts, social content opportunities, PR and marketing collaborations, and a padel special offer for Specsavers contact lens subscribers.
A big part of the partnership is also keeping it local. All 15 clubs are within three miles of a Specsavers store, helping to drive engagement with local opticians’ teams across the city.

As part of the partnership, Specsavers will offer a free game of padel for up to four people to anyone who signs up to a new contact lens subscription at participating stores.*
