Music will be provided by Stortford Sound System, a group of DJs based in
Bishops Stortford.

The group opened for Sixties soul legends Martha and the Vandellas when they
performed at the United Reformed Church hall in Stortford last November.
Martha Reeves, the queen of Motown, declared Stortford Sound System were
her favorite DJs.

Money raised on the night will be distributed to a selection of local charitable
causes at The Bish Bash (Stortford Music Festival) via The Giving Machine.

In the summer of 2006, Jonathan, Richard, Mark and Craig met to discuss how
they could use their skills to raise money for schools and charities.

Over pizza and beer the concept of The Giving Machine was born, and an early
website created. Free donations for causes in Bishop’s Stortford started to
flow. In 2007, The Giving Machine expanded to support causes further afield.

The Social Enterprise Mark was awarded to The Giving Machine in 2010 and
registered charity status was secured in 2014.
