Streatham’s fitness scene is set for a major boost this autumn as Body Fit Training (BFT) – one of the world’s fastest-growing fitness franchises – officially launches on Saturday 8th November.
The new studio, BFT Streatham, will be run by Lauren Hendrie, who is also the owner of BFT Battersea, which opened in early 2023 and quickly became one of the area’s most popular community fitness hubs.
Now Lauren is bringing BFT’s signature mix of science-led group training programmes, elite coaching and inclusive community vibes to Streatham – her second studio in south London.
Currently in the final stages of construction, the Streatham site is opening its doors from Monday 3rd November, inviting locals to meet the coaching team, explore the new space and try out BFT’s style of training for themselves.
“We know and love the area – it’s well connected with lots of families seeking a new way of training that is results driven,” said Lauren. “The BFT model is ideal for working professionals and parents who have limited time each day to train.”
The new studio will offer small-group sessions of up to 24 members – a setup designed to suit Streatham’s demographics and offer a more personal training experience – something Lauren believes sets BFT apart from other fitness options in London.
Since opening her first studio in Battersea, Lauren has built a loyal community of members who value great coaching, accountability and results.
“Opening Battersea has been such a rewarding journey,” added Lauren. “We wanted to create a space where people look forward to training, and we’ve seen that come to life. Now we can’t wait to do the same here in Streatham.”
The official launch on Saturday 8th November will feature showcase classes and appearances from local businesses and partners.
“London has a lot of fitness options, but we genuinely believe BFT is something different,” concluded Lauren. “We combine the structure and science of personal training with the buzz and energy of group fitness. You get the best of both worlds – expert coaching, accountability and a genuine sense of community. We’re so excited to bring that to Streatham.”
