Marcel, a student from St Charles Sixth Form College, is not your average work
experience student. Thanks to a unique placement with CCJM Consulting Ltd in Brentford,
Marcel has found himself at the heart of digital innovation—where technology meets real-world
impact.
At the Brentford Digital Dock coworking space, Marcel dove into a dynamic environment full of
opportunities to explore the latest in digital initiatives. One standout moment was meeting
Michelle Pontes, Founder and Director of Human Driven AI (HDAI), and Ariane Eva Morin,
Non-Executive Director of HDAI. Both leaders are championing ways AI can improve access,
amplify voices, and unlock opportunities for everyone. Through lively discussions and hands-on
learning, Marcel saw firsthand how these visionaries are using technology to benefit local
communities.
Marcel’s experience also included an inspiring conversation with Mr. Kumar of Panacea
Programme, a global biotechnology company harnessing AI to push the boundaries of medical
research—especially in the fight against cancer. Mr. Kumar explained how AI can analyze
cancer cells with astonishing precision, revealing patterns invisible to human eyes. This helps
doctors and researchers better understand each patient’s condition and identify the most
effective treatments. The result? More accurate diagnoses, personalized care, and vital time
saved for NHS staff, who can now focus on supporting patients rather than sifting through data.
Rather than simply observing, Marcel has become actively involved in this movement. He is set
to take on the role of HDAI Champion at St Charles Catholic School, where he’ll help raise
awareness and inspire his fellow students about the positive power of digital innovation.
Reflecting on his time at CCJM Consulting Ltd, Marcel shared,
“This conversation really opened my eyes to how powerful AI can be when used for a good
cause. As a T-Level work experience student, it made me realise how technology is
transforming industries beyond just business or entertainment—it’s actually helping to save lives
and shape the future.
”
His journey left a lasting mark, deepening his appreciation for the connection between
technology and healthcare.
“Learning about how AI can assist in detecting cancer and supporting healthcare professionals
gave me a new appreciation for the synergy between technology and medicine,
” Marcel added.
“It also inspired me to think more deeply about how digital innovation can make a real difference
in people’s lives.
”
Marcel’s story is just one example of the learning opportunities CCJM Consulting Ltd offers to its
work experience students. Through interactions with forward-thinking organisations like HDAI,
CCJM Consulting is empowering young people to become champions for technology-driven
change.
From exploring AI’s role in cancer research to understanding how digital solutions improve vital
services like the NHS, students like Marcel are gaining the understanding they need to help
shape the world of tomorrow.
