Students at Lift Bexleyheath celebrate “best results in the history of our school”

Students and staff at Lift Bexleyheath are celebrating today as young people receive their GCSE and vocational results.

After years of hard work, students are seeing the results of their efforts and making plans for their next steps, whether that is A-levels, vocational or technical education. Teachers and staff are also celebrating alongside them as the school community comes together to mark this important moment.

Throughout the year, the school has provided students with additional support, helping students feel prepared for their exams and confident about their future choices. This has included:

private one-to-one tuition;
Saturday booster sessions in mathematics and english;
impartial careers advice to help students decide on the best options for further education, including weekly careers talks to motivate and inspire students;
additional curriculum time outside of lessons to run group study sessions;
a range of practice examinations to provide feedback to students to support continued improvement; and
mentoring to students through Innerscope which supported the most disadvantaged to work towards a career of their choice.

Many students have now secured the grades they need to continue their studies through A levels, vocational courses, apprenticeships or other routes. Amongst Lift Bexleyheath’s success stories:

Javid W achieved seven grade 9s, a grade 8 and a grade 7. Javid will be going on to St Olaves Grammar School to study A-levels.
