TA-KO & Forest Road Brewing Co. team up for a unique casual dining experience at E8 Taproom
The team behind the well-loved Stoke Newington restaurant TA-KO will join forces with Forest Road Brewing Co. to bring its famous tacos to the East London Taproom and Bar from 23rd October 2024. Guests can enjoy TA-KO’s signature Asian-inspired dishes in soft corn tortillas, offering a unique casual dining experience.
Located just a stone’s throw from London Fields and Broadway Market, the Forest Road Brewing Co. taproom offers more than just great food. Visitors can enjoy the full range of Forest Road’s craft ales and lagers, house wines, a full liquor bar, and a thoughtfully curated cocktail menu. With its cosy furnishings and laid-back vibe, it’s the ideal spot for everything from casual beers with friends to late-night parties fueled by great music and good vibes.
This collaboration follows TA-KO’s successful restaurant launch in June 2024. The Stoke Newington restaurant has quickly become a favourite among East Londoners for its creative fusion of the casual dining vibe of Mexican Taquerias with bold, exciting flavours from Asian cuisines. Partnering with Forest Road Brewing Co. is a natural evolution, extending TA-KO’s reach to an even wider audience.
Founded by Pete Brown in 2016, Forest Road began its humble journey after moving into a house with his four (now-best) friends by brewing a beer dubbed WORK ipa in the garden. After rave reviews for this home-brewed liquid, the venture soon expanded, finding its way into local East London pubs and eventually leading to the opening of his London Brewery in Bermondsey in 2021. Today, the brand has grown to include five ales and one lager, with top London venues such as Soho House, Patty and Bun, The Cause Nightclub, Grasso and over 200 other independents across London proudly serve Forest Road’s brews. All production runs out of their independent brewery in Bermondsey, South London.
The taproom menu includes a variety of tempting tacos. All tacos are served in pairs from £10 for two. Crispy cauliflower layered on black bean & tamarind ragu, avocado and pepper mayo (Vegetarian), Char Siu Jackfruit with shiitake, mango, pickled red onion (Vegan), Nahm jim chicken, pickled carrot & daikon, crispy onions, Kampot mayo, Red pepper pork collar, spiced kimchi, mango salsa and the famous ‘MSG Fries’, Nori fried potatoes, Kampot pepper mayo, salt & vinegar powder (Vegetarian) all the tacos served are gluten-free, so there is something for everyone.
