TA-KO has launched a brand new group dining experience in East London

Asian-inspired restaurant TA-KO has launched a brand new group dining experience in East London, ‘The Chef’s Table’. The popular East London restaurant offers guests a creative culinary experience of big, bright, and bold Asian flavours served in soft corn tortillas, a selection of irresistible sides, and a range of expertly crafted cocktails.

The Chef’s Table caters to private parties and events, which seats 16 and offers an intimate experience perfect for birthdays or fun get-togethers with friends. It is situated opposite the open-plan kitchen, offering a view of the chefs at work. TA-KO’s package includes cocktails on arrival and a feast of favourite dishes. Guests can access speakers and audio systems to entertain guests and TA-KO’s kitchen team with their favourite tunes.

The group dining menu provides a welcome cocktail, a selection of irresistible appetisers, TA-KOs, and desserts for £49 per person. It features dishes such as Spicy Shitake Crispy Rice with turmeric pickled daikon, mirin & soy shiitake mushrooms, Crispy cauliflower taco with black bean and tamarind ragu, avocado, pepper mayo, Toasted seabass taco with mandarin sambal, pickles, crispy onion, umami ketchup, and Beef Short Rib taco with succulent palm sugar-glazed beef short rib, pickled kohlrabi, and topped with homemade blackberry sriracha. Not forgetting the famous hero dish MSG fries – Nori fried potatoes, Kampot pepper mayo, salt & vinegar powder and ending on a delicious dessert of Dough-Jo’s a fried doughnut batter, palm sugar salt caramel sauce and dusted with cinnamon & ginger.
Most dishes can be adapted for vegan or vegetarian diners, and all the tacos served are gluten-free, offering something for everyone. See the full group dining menu here

A drinks package for group dining is also available, offering a discounted rate on multiple bottles of wine. Cocktails on the main menu include a variety of unusual twists on the classics, which change through the seasons and keeping with cocktail trends. Mixologist Stuart Binks draws inspiration from popular classics The Old Fashioned, The Margarita, The Negroni and The Whisky Sour and features’ Apple Cinnamon Scotch’ infuses artist blend scotch with apple and cinnamon syrups, topped with a dash of peychaud’s bitters, Apricot & Smoke has an encantado mezcal base, with apricot brandy, Campari and fresh lemon zest, Banana Boulevardier Evan Williams bourbon, Campari, fortified orange wine and banana liqueur, Cherry Club for the lovers of gin, with a cherry purée, fresh lemon and morello syrup.
