Taylor’s of Goodluck Hope open waterfront bar and deli in East London

Taylor’s of Goodluck Hope has opened the doors to its brand-new bar and deli, located on the Thames waterfront in E14. Keith and Lorna Taylor, the expert duo behind the popular Taylor’s of Maltby Street Market and Goodluck Hope groceries, have combined culinary craftmanship with imaginative recipes to serve a variety of seasonal dishes and neighbourhood favourites.

Guests can expect delicious small plates and relaxed dishes showcasing fresh, local produce with a “farm shop-to-table” ethos. The breakfast menu includes breakfast sandwiches, pressed croissants topped with fresh fruit, and masala beans on sourdough crumpets topped with cacklebean eggs, while lunch consists of succulent sandwich flavours like roast beef with chimichurri, caramelised onions and rocket, or roasted vegetables with harissa humous. Those with bigger appetites can choose from daily specials such as lasagne, aubergine parmigiana, sweet potato topped with chilli con carne, and fresh deli-style salads.

Taylor’s of Goodluck Hope has already become the island’s favourite grocery, serving the finest fresh fruit and vegetables, and quality produce from local suppliers and artisan brands. The grocery sells everything from luxury, handpicked delicacies to cupboard essentials for every day, and now the neighbouring bar and deli will be a sanctuary for savouring and enjoying fresh food. It will also serve as a social hub at the heart of the island neighbourhood, where friends can gather and occasions can be celebrated.

The new foodie hotspot is open daily from Wednesday to Saturday, from 10am to 4pm (Sundays from 11am to 4pm). The bar is also open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5pm to 10pm. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a tasty, healthy, summer meal, while watching the sunset on the River Thames.

Goodluck Hope is the industrial-inspired riverside development of 841 new homes on Leamouth Peninsula, creating an island neighbourhood of new homes, creative hubs and independent businesses. Inspired by its rich maritime heritage and cultural history, Goodluck Hope is conveniently located close to finance and commercial hub Canary Wharf and London City Airport via Canning Town station on the Jubilee Line, and yet remains secluded from the rush of the city, offering a uniquely tranquil waterfront lifestyle in this part of the capital.

Keith Taylor, founder of Taylor’s at Goodluck Hope, said: “We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our new bar and deli at Goodluck Hope. We’ll be serving delicious, fresh, homecooked food for residents and locals to enjoy, whether they’re coming together to socialise with friends or want a tasty, easy meal after a long day. Our bar will be a hub for the community, where wine sparks conversation and connections between friends. We’re also delighted to be joining the line-up of food and drink offerings on the island, such as Layers Bakery, The Lockdown Room bar and brewery, and Nebula pizza joint – it’s a special place to visit.”
