Team of forty Blick Rothenberg colleagues raise over £6,800 for The Connection at St Martins by taking part in a three-day 50-mile North Downs walk

A team of forty colleagues from leading audit, tax and business advisory firm, Blick Rothenberg, raised over £6,800 plus gift aid for The Connection at St Martins by taking part in a three-day (11th – 13th September), 50-mile walk across the North Downs in south-east England.

Andrew Sanford, a Partner at the firm, said: “I am really proud of Team Blick Rothenberg. We have raised over £6,800 for The Connection at St Martins, but donations are still open and gratefully received.”

He added: “We completed 50 miles in three days on the North Downs climbing Mickleham Downs, Ranmore Common and covering ground from Oxted town to Betchworth village, 12 miles around the Polesden Lacey Edwardian estate and Box Hill, and three loops of Westcott, Leith Hill and Abinger villages. We had a great time and there was fabulous camaraderie.”

Andrew said: “The Connection at St Martins is an incredible charity that our firm is proud to support. They provide specialist support to homeless and vulnerable people in central London. Based in Trafalgar Square, they are the busiest day centre in the UK and work with 5,000 people every year.”

Heather Powell, a Partner at the firm, said: “An amazing three days walking 50 miles with colleagues from Blick Rothenberg – determination, courage and a great Camaraderie were all displayed. All for The Connection – a charity that does amazing work for the homeless of London.”
