Two Television Centre residents have come together to project a spectacular blue light installation over the Helios Courtyard in a tribute to the NHS.

As the sun goes down this evening the artwork will be switched on, lighting up the sky in West London. The display will run from 8.30pm – 9.45pm, following the weekly Clap For Our Carers.

Designed to signify hope, forward thinking and positivity during this challenging time, beams of blue lights will be stimulated over the fountain alongside a large projection of the NHS logo on the side of the iconic Television Centre façade. The design of the artwork is a bespoke creation by illustrator Guy Field.

Creative Producer and Television Centre resident, Jack Bryant says “we wanted to create an installation that represents the ongoing support for the NHS and to bring a little light into people’s lives during this period of isolation. The backdrop of Television Centre, which we walk past every day, seemed like the perfect place.”

This initiative is one of many at Television Centre that is embracing the neighbourhood community spirit and support for the emergency services. Live singing from the Helios courtyard has now become a weekly set and neighbouring White City Place office building has joined the Light It Blue campaign.
