Thames Clippers makes waves at the Everywoman in Travel Awards

Sean Collins, the co-founder and CEO of Thames Clippers (www.thamesclippers.com), made waves at the Everywoman in Travel Awards this week, winning the Male Agent of Change Award.

The Male Agent of Change Award celebrates men who have shown active commitment to advancing the progress of women working in travel, exemplified perfectly by Thames Clippers being one of the most diverse workforces operating on the Thames, and indeed the global marine industry.

This award comes in Thames Clippers’ 20th year of operation – and follows awareness campaigns such as marking International Women’s Day with an all-female crew.

Sean Collins, Thames Clippers CEO and co-founder commented:

“It’s an incredible honour to have received this award, and is testament to the fantastic female staff that makes Thames Clippers what it is today. Our percentage increase of female staff this year is already up 3 percent on 2018; an impressive statistic when considering that for the same year, the rest of the marine industry accounted for a female worldwide workforce of just 3 percent in total. We’re proud of this progress but are still looking forward, and constantly striving to increase the employee diversity working in our great business.”

Thames Clippers is the leading River Bus service on the River Thames. Services run at 20 minute intervals between key London piers including, Canary Wharf, Tower, London Bridge City Pier, Westminster and London Eye for Waterloo, as well as several residential piers, including Battersea Power Station, Greenwich and North Greenwich, between Putney in the West and Woolwich (Royal Arsenal) in the East.
