Thanksgiving Returns to Riding House Cafe – Now in it’s 15th Year

This Thanksgiving, Riding House Cafés will serve a generous family-style feast across its three London restaurants, bringing together the familiar flavours and comforting dishes associated with the American holiday.

Available for lunch and dinner on Thursday 26 November at Riding House Fitzrovia, Bloomsbury and Victoria, the feast will also be served for dinner at Riding House Fitzrovia on Friday 27 November.

Whether for homesick Americans or those simply looking for another reason to celebrate, Thanksgiving has become something of a Riding House institution. This year’s festivities come as the group celebrates 15 years since the original Riding House Café opened in Fitzrovia in 2011, marking a milestone for the portfolio.

Priced at £65 per guest, the Thanksgiving Feast is designed for sharing, with all dishes served together at the table. The feast begins with Cornbread Dinner Rolls served with Whipped Pumpkin Butter, followed by Free-Range Roast Turkey with all the classic Thanksgiving trimmings.

Alongside the turkey comes Cornbread & Sausage Stuffing, Maple-Buttered Sweet Potatoes, Truffled Mac and Cheese, Creamed Corn, Glazed Sprouts and Bacon and Green Beans, served with Calvados Gravy and Cranberry and Orange Relish. For vegetarian guests, a Portobello & Sweet Potato Wellington is available by pre-order, while Pumpkin Pie brings the feast to a suitably comforting close.

The drinks menu follows the same convivial spirit, with a selection of cocktails designed to accompany the feast. The Evan Williams Pickleback is available to start, with a non-alcoholic version also offered. The American Sweetheart, made with Evan Williams Bourbon, lime, coconut, caramel, apple and ginger ale, is available as a one-litre fountain for £70 or as a single serve for £14. The Evan Williams Egg Nog, made with Evan Williams Bourbon, cream and spices, is also available as a one-litre fountain for £70 or a single serve for £14.

Further single serves include the American Mule, combining Tito’s vodka, lime, ginger and soda, and the Spiced Peach Old Fashioned, bringing together chilli-infused Evan Williams Bourbon, peach and bitters. Both are priced at £14, offering a choice of classic and seasonal cocktails to enjoy alongside the feast.

For larger celebrations, Riding House Cafés offers a range of private and semi-private spaces across its three restaurants, accommodating groups of between 12 and 250 guests. Spaces include the Al Fresco Terrace, The Bar, The Cabin, The Courtyard, Dining Hall, Dining Room, The Lounge, The Mezzanine, Sharing Table, The Snug, The Stables and The Stage, alongside options for exclusive whole-venue hire. A dedicated event coordinator is also available to assist with larger bookings and celebrations.

Since opening its original Fitzrovia restaurant, Riding House Cafés has grown into a group of three all-day dining restaurants across central London, with locations in Fitzrovia, Bloomsbury and Victoria. Known for their lively dining rooms, relaxed brasserie-style atmosphere and menus designed for everything from brunch and long lunches to dinner and drinks, the restaurants have become familiar fixtures within their neighbourhoods.

The 15-year anniversary celebrates not only the group’s growth, but also the guests and team members who have been part of the Riding House story along the way. With food served family style, Thanksgiving at Riding House Cafés offers an easy-going way to gather with friends, family or colleagues and make an occasion of the meal during a particularly special year for the group.
