The Alchemist is launching its London flagship venue in Canary Wharf

The Alchemist, the creative cocktail bar and restaurant concept, is launching its biggest venue yet in Canary Wharf on Friday 29th November, just in time for the Christmas period. To celebrate the opening, The Alchemist will be serving up a week of free immersive theatre, alongside a new festive cocktail menu.

The week of ‘Theatre Served’ will launch on the 29th November, with performances also running on the 30th November and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of December. Visitors can expect mind-blowing adventures and interactive experiences throughout its launch week with the crème de le crème of London’s alternative artists performing theatrics on those dates from 6pm – 8pm at The Alchemist Canary Wharf.

With no entry fee, guests are encouraged to take their seats early and enjoy the experience over The Alchemist’s Christmassy cocktails. This includes the ‘Alpine Spritz’ which is a festive mix of Chase Mulberry & Sloe Gin, port and tonic which is topped off with a torched stick of rosemary. There is also ‘The Trifle’ which is Martini Fiero, vermouth, red wine, strawberry, white chocolate foam served with a cherry on top.

The line-up includes Miss Sylvia Sceptre, the time travelling magician who invites audiences into an elegant world of Gothic Victorian life through ghost stories and mesmerising magic and mirth. Alongside Miss Sceptre will be Chris Flemming, the London-based, yet world famous, magician and mind reader.  Chris has performed for the likes of Kanye West, Ronaldinho, Rihanna and The Queen. Former Cirque Du Soleil performer, Lee Thompson, will also be joining the line-up, with his performance of the art of pick pocketing, taking guests belts, watches, wallets, cuff links and even neck ties from right under their noses.

Alongside its famed cocktails, The Alchemist also offers a diverse food menu, featuring delicious starters including, tempura prawn lollipops to whipped feta with beetroot, orange wedges, dukkah nuts and spices. To follow, guests can indulge on main courses from braised beef ragu with sesame noodles, spicy kimchi & toasted coconut to a vegan cauliflower katsu curry. For city-workers on the go, The Alchemist Canary Wharf will also offer a unique ‘grab and go’ bagel menu, with freshly baked bagels supplied by East London bakery Shalom Hot Bagels, created specifically for those looking for a quick bite in the area.
