The Beatles expert comes to London and Manchester with his new conversation Evolver:63

Historian and expert on The Beatles, Mark Lewisohn is back on tour this June with four shows at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre as well as one show at The Lowry in Salford, each featuring an amazing special guest. Tickets go on sale this Friday 19th May and are available via the venue website.

Following his innovative and brilliantly received 2019 theatre tour Hornsey Road, and the 2022 sold-out London dates with Evolver:62, Lewisohn is returning to the stage to screen more deftly curated gems from his extraordinary research archive and revel in stories from an historic and momentous anniversary year.

EVOLVER:63 is the follow up to 2022s sell out EVOLVER:62 where Mark lovingly shared items from his filing cabinets, guiding audiences through a galaxy of real-life moments, letting authentic archival gems transport audiences back in time to see and feel how it all was before it was. This is a show for not only fans of The Beatles but history fanatics!

The deeper you go, the higher you fly.

Samira Ahmed, Kevin Eldon, Harry Hill, Johnny Marr and Stuart Maconie will be joining Mark to yak about the Beatles in an unscripted, reactive conversation. It will be a chance for them all to emote, enthuse, ponder, wonder and blather – to have an upbeat laff and shout about the richest cultural story ever.

Mark Lewisohn is the acknowledged world authority on the Beatles. His books include Tune In (which is the first volume in his historical trilogy The Beatles: All These Years) as well as the bestselling and influential Recording Sessions, The Complete Beatles Chronicle and (as co-author) The Beatles’ London. He was consultant and researcher for all aspects – TV, DVDs, CDs and book – of The Beatles Anthology. A photographer in the little spare time he allows, his work appears in the photo book An Englishman In Mons. He also explores his Beatles history research in engrossing stage shows, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Abbey Road in 2019 with Hornsey Road, which toured UK theatres, and marking the anniversary of the Beatles’ breakthrough year with Evolver:62, which was resident at Bloomsbury Theatre, London.
